.....I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My parents and two
sisters all live in Wisconsin, which is nice to visit but gets a little
too cold in winter. There's nothing quite like home in warm and sunny
Florida!
.....I loved sports at an early age. Basketball, football
and track and field were my favorites. I was tall and skinny but
extremely athletic in elementary school. I started lifting weights in
seventh grade. My motivation was to become a better athlete. In high
school, I played football and was a member of the track team in which I
ran the 200 and 400 meter races. I was very active and remember always
weighing 176 pounds throughout my high school years. I then continued
working out after graduation and weightlifting became a part of my
lifestyle. I started competing in bodybuilding when I was 20 years old.
.....My interest in health and fitness led me to study
sport nutrition at the University of Wisconsin. In 1993, I received a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics. I was now a Registered
Dietitian and pursued a career in the fitness industry by moving to
Florida. Working out and personal training became a way of life. I
regularly competed in weightlifting and bodybuilding competitions. My
most notable victory was winning the Mr. Jacksonville Bodybuilding
Championships in 1998.
Staying healthy and fit has
made my life more complete. I look forward to working out regularly and
teaching others what I have learned. Reach your goals by making health
and fitness a part of your lifestyle.
